Registration

Participating involves a four-step process:

  • RSVP for attendance here.

Please do this as soon as you are able, as this helps us plan conference programming.

  • Confirm active membership in your organization

NASSR members click here.

NAVSA members click here. The login button is on the upper right and will direct you to join or renew your membership.

ICR members will receive a registration link in a separate email from the organization.

Once you confirm your active membership or renew it, you will be given the registration link.

  • Register for the conference, including caucus events and the banquet luncheon

Please note that the registration ticket includes a number of events (The Peripatetic Seminar, a screening of Percy Shelley’s The Cenci, The Editors’ Roundtable and Mixer, evening reception, and a performance by the 19th-century Theatre Caucus) that you can register for free of charge. You may return multiple times to the registration link to register for events and activities.

  • Book your discounted hotel room.

Once on the registration page, you will be given a link to the Hilton’s website for our special group rate. We urge you to stay at the hotel for the duration of the conference. Many visitors to Los Angeles are unprepared for its vast size, unpredictable flows, exorbitant parking fees, and general hassle of moving around by car. We want you to spend your time discussing nineteenth-century iterations of traffic, not experiencing its present-day miseries on jammed freeways! With this in mind, we negotiated a group rate that is hard to beat elsewhere. Moreover, our ability to fund this conference and future conferences is directly tied to our ability to fill the conference hotel.

Your in-person registration includes the November 6 virtual conference, should you wish to attend. We expect to finalize both programs in early September. Your registration also entitles you to attend panels and sessions of the North American Conference on British Studies taking place simultaneously at the Westin Pasadena, just up the street from the Hilton at 191 N. Los Robles Ave. It does not include other NACBS events or meals.

Are you or will you be a 2026 book author? We would like to celebrate our attendees’ books. Please indicate here if it applies to you, and plan to bring a copy of your book for display.
